2009 Success Story

So do you know what today is? 366 days, some hours and a few minutes ago, I climbed a set of stairs that lead up to what I believed the owner's perceived as a spinning class setting. Though I was very comfortable riding my upright stationary bike at the big gym, next to a room with pounding music on some hit and missed Saturday morning, my reluctance was diminished once I saw this new setting on 28th Street. Driven there by a close friend, I committed a Sunday morning to getting a bit of exercise as she described the owners as polite, enthusiastic and patience instructor.

There are many reasons why people stop going to the big commercial gyms. Most often, it is because after a few days of sweating and pounding your body and standing in line for whatever machine the trainer told to work on, the cockiness wears off and the apprehension sets in that you are all alone with this endeavor of weight loss. The ink has dried on your checks and no trainers can be found for guidance.

Well today I am glad to say that I found a place that kept my enthusiasm interested, and personable trainers who understood how to translate the science behind weight lost in Devon terms. Moreover, their patience, patience, patience, and tiny weenie steps handling me toward the proper sequence of exercise worked even through my agony preaching of pain. Month after month and their cleverness of involving my body in some form of exercise - soon came some signs of results. Before long, this attentiveness to activity structure became a routine for me and I am still laughing.

Yep, as I arrived and land on this 30th day in December 2009, the end of this rainbow of healthiness – I did not get here alone. I got here because of nutritional coaching. I continue to go to No Limits Sports & Fitness because these two women are responsible trainers who treat each client with respect in any related health case. Alisha and Hilda are not just working toward a paycheck, they live what they do, they believe in what they do, and in their clients; one 2009 New Year’s resolution down, one big 70 to go in 2010.

Happy New Years!
